What happens after the session?
Do not expect a diagnosis, as that is not part of Reiki. Some practitioners may make common sense suggestions for after-care, such as drinking water and following your body's needs.
Although recipients typically leave a Reiki session feeling refreshed, sometimes they notice feeling more tired in the evening than usual. This is not viewed as an adverse reaction, but rather as the body's natural healing response. Although recipients do commonly report a sense of calm and mental clarity and sleeping well after Reiki.
How many more sessions should a recipient receive?
Reiki works by restoring energetic balance. It is up to you to let go of the things that are keeping your system out-of-balance. Most often these are deeply rooted past issues that we have been carrying around with us our entire lives. In those cases, one session may not be enough to resolve these issues. Multiple sessions may be in order, but how often depends on you and your ability to handle what issues may surface. Some prefer to have one session while others have a series of sessions to work on particular issues, recovery or just overall stress relief and relaxation for their mind, body and soul.
